Autism can look very different from child to child. You might notice that your child communicates by repeating phrases or scripts, plays in the same ways over and over, has big reactions to changes in routine, notices tiny details or patterns, has strong sensory preferences, or becomes deeply interested in certain topics or activities. Some autistic children talk later, while others have large vocabularies, memorize books or songs, or even learn to read very early. You may also notice differences in back-and-forth conversation, pretend play, or how your child connects and plays with other people.

A developmental evaluation can help you understand whether these differences may be related to autism and, most importantly, give you a clearer picture of how your child learns, communicates, and experiences the world. Tully Speech & Language partners with a local psychologist to provide parent-friendly, affordable, streamlined, neurodiversity-affirming developmental evaluations for families with questions about autism, ADHD, or their child’s development. Tully Speech & Language is located in Denver’s beautiful Capitol Hill neighborhood. We also offer mobile services throughout the Denver area, bringing speech therapy directly to your home for a small travel fee. In-home therapy allows children to build communication skills in the familiar, everyday environment where they use them most.

Sessions are available in 30- or 50-minute appointments, typically 1–3 times per week. Session length and frequency are individualized based on your child’s age, needs, goals, and what works best for your family.

Tully Speech & Language offers free 15-minute introductory calls for families in Denver and surrounding areas. To keep services individualized and focused on each child’s needs, Tully Speech & Language is currently private pay and out-of-network with all insurance providers. Superbills are available upon request for families who would like to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
