Communication evaluations are designed to help families better understand how their child communicates, interacts with others, and understands the world around them. Every evaluation is tailored to the individual child and may look at areas such as speech clarity, speech sounds, understanding and using language, social communication, stuttering, voice, play, and everyday communication skills. Evaluations are designed to feel supportive, engaging, and low-pressure, while still providing a thorough picture of your child’s strengths, differences, and areas where extra support may help. Sessions may include caregiver collaboration, play-based interaction, observation, conversation, and standardized testing when appropriate. Families receive a detailed written report along with thoughtful, personalized recommendations for next steps, whether that means therapy, strategies to use at home, collaboration with school teams, or simply greater clarity and peace of mind.

Speech therapy sessions are individualized, relationship-based, and designed around each child’s unique strengths, interests, and everyday life. Therapy combines play-based, child-led interaction with thoughtful clinical support to help children build communication skills that feel meaningful and functional in their real world, whether that’s connecting with family, participating at school, making friends, expressing needs, or building confidence. Sessions may target areas such as speech clarity, language development, social communication, stuttering, voice, or AAC use when appropriate through engaging activities that keep children motivated while still working toward clear, personalized goals. Families are an important part of the process, with ongoing collaboration, support, and practical strategies woven throughout therapy to help create lasting progress beyond the therapy session itself..

Parent consultation sessions are available for families looking for thoughtful, professional guidance about their child’s communication development without the pressure of committing to ongoing therapy. These conversations are individualized to your family’s questions, concerns, and goals, and may focus on areas such as language development, speech clarity, social communication, stuttering, AAC options, play skills, or ways to support communication more naturally at home and in everyday routines. Consultation sessions are designed to feel collaborative, supportive, and practical, giving caregivers space to ask questions, talk through concerns, and leave with clear next steps, helpful strategies, and greater confidence moving forward.

For families seeking a more comprehensive understanding of their child’s developmental, learning, social-emotional, or communication profile, collaborative assessment services are available in partnership with Corcoran Psychology through the Developmental Assessment Collaborative. These evaluations bring together expertise across disciplines to provide a more complete picture of a child’s strengths, differences, and support needs, with thoughtful recommendations designed to help families move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
About me
Hi, I’m Tracy! I’m a certified Speech-Language Pathologist with nearly 10 years of experience supporting children and families across home and community settings. I work with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children with a wide range of communication styles, strengths, and support needs, including speech clarity, language development, AAC, social communication, and stuttering.
My approach is warm, thoughtful, and individualized. I believe communication can look different for every child, and therapy should honor who they already are while helping them build skills that feel meaningful in their everyday life. Sessions are designed to be play-based, relationship-centered, and engaging, with goals that connect to real-world experiences like participating at school, expressing wants and ideas, connecting with others, and feeling more confident communicating across environments.
I care deeply about building strong, trusting relationships with both children and caregivers. I believe families deserve support that feels approachable, collaborative, and grounded in real life, not overly clinical or one-size-fits-all. Therapy is most meaningful when caregivers feel included, heard, and empowered along the way, which is why collaboration and practical carryover strategies are woven into every step of the process. My goal is to help children build communication skills in a way that feels supportive, affirming, and sustainable for the whole family. I look forward to hearing from you!
